We made it

We made it to Spain and it wasn't easy. We flew to Cincinnati where our flight was delayed and therefore we would not make it to our connecting flight in JFK where we were suppose to meet my family and all fly togther to Rome. Drew was amazing he rearranged our flight plans so we could make it to Malaga around the same time my family would arrive. To make a long story short after A LOT of running and talking to multiple Delta reps at every layover (Amsterdam and Madrid) we made it to Malaga. My parents were suppose to be at the airport to take us to our hotel but they weren't. Six hours later their flight came in. They had missed their flight in Rome and got on the next flight to Malaga. We were finally together. The only problem was the airline lost all our luggage. It made things interesting the first two days. Luckily me and my mom and sister wear the same size and my mom just so happened to bring Mac some clothes.

Mac did amazing. Everyone on the plane commented on how good he was. On the flight it had bassinets in the bulk head (life saver). Mac slept five hours during the long 9 hour flight to Amsterdam.

Raven Run

In light of our upcoming trip we decided to go hiking and try out our backpack. At first Mac loved the new view. He laughed and babbled the whole way to the cliff. On the way back was another story, he was tired and just wanted to be held. So, Drew and I took turns carrying him. Lets just say both our backs were hurting Sunday morning.

Mac looks totally smashed but he really was comfortable.

It's getting hot in here

Right now it's 79 degrees inside our house. Our air conditioner broke yesterday and since it was Memorial day we wont be seeing the fix-it man until tomorrow. Luckily our friends lent us their fan and it's been doing a good job keeping us somewhat cool.If you look close you can see Mac's hair being blown by the fan
At first Mac was terrified of the fan but quickly changed his mind

Mr. Possum

I had just gotten home and I was feeding Mac when a possum walked up to our door. A live possum. Out here in Kentucky you get to see plenty of dead possums but rarely do you see a live one. Now, I had seen him before but didn't get a picture and it's bothered me since. I yelled for Drew to take a picture but he wasn't getting the job done. I passed Mac to him, grabbed the camera and ran outside. The possum had quickly made it's way to the front yard and was back by the fence. I was in my bare feet and climbing around in the brush, trying to get a good shot. It was all worth it because I did get a decent picture. Check it out.

Eating while jumping what more could you ask for

Getting Mac to eat solids has not been easy. Not only does he not care for the solids themselves but he gets bored. So we tried something new. We put Mac in his jumper and fed him. It was a mess but he loved it. He ate the whole bowl of barley.

It's always messy when drew feeds Mac

Wild Things

One thing we love about Kentucky is the greenness. There are trees and bushes everywhere. This makes it easy to have animals live all around you. Living in our backyard we have a possum (we've only seen twice. UGLY), a groundhog, multiple squirrels, birds and two stray cats that come and go throughout the day. Mind you, our backyard is small. Since the weather has been so nice we have seen our friends a little more.

We grow'em big in Kentucky. Yesterday I watched this groundhog eat all our dandelions and try to get the leaves off the bushes. Isn't he cute.

7 months old

It's amazing how fast time has gone by. I can't believe Mac is 7 months old. It's been fun to watch him discover things around him and how to use different parts of his body. Lately he sits up and stares at his moving fingers.

Mac has found his toes

Mac is bigger than most babies his age. He weighs 22.5 lbs. and is 29 inches long. He's our big boy.
