Last Sunday Mac was playing with a friend upstairs when we heard him crying. Drew went up there to find Mac covered in throw up. We thought maybe it was a one time thing, but we were wrong. He threw up four more times that night and even more the next day. Drew was a champ, he slept in Mac's bed with him and only called me when there was mess to clean up:). Gray got what Mac had Monday night and we all weren't feeling well until Thursday. I don't think I have ever done so much laundry in my life! The flu=no fun!Drew was mad I took this picture, I totally woke up Mac but it was so cute how he tucked Elmo in bed next to him.
My mom made a valentine/get better package when she heard that we were sick. She made Mac a snowman blanket and filled the box with finger paints, stickers, coloring books and treats. We couldn't even wait to open it inside.

Snow+Sled=Fun
This week was pretty uneventful...Well, not outside but inside the Millar home. From Monday to Thursday morning only Drew left the house. We were getting a little stir crazy to say the least. Today, since it was a toasty 27 degrees, we took Mac sledding for the first time and boy did he love it. Because we never experience this much snow, we were short on snow apparel. We found Mac a hat that he kept referring to as Curious George (George has one just like). Mac has gloves but they were MIA so we settled for a pair of mismatched socks. I know what you're thinking, couldn't you at least get him matching socks? Nope. Luckily some friends of ours gave us a pair of bright blue snow pants, so we did have that covered.
After every run Mac would say, "Sled again, again."
We ran into the McQuivey family toward the end.
Taking a quick break in the swing. The sun reflecting of the snow was blinding.
Geeg slept the entire time.

Winter Storm Warning
I have never experienced an ice storm like this. It's crazy lexington weather . We are fortunate that we haven't lost power yet but chances are good. It's been freezing rain all night and temperatures just dropped and it started snowing. Since I have been on the computer we have gotten an inch of snow. Not good! Here are some pictures of our icy wonderland...

Snowman!
It's been cold here. Like, really cold. All last week temperatures were around 14 but with humidity and wind chill it felt like -10. The schools were closed last Friday not for snow but because of the freezing temperatures. I thought Utah had weird weather but I think Kentucky takes the cake. Today the temperature has b
een in the high 40's! It's strange how cold it can be one day and then the next day have unseasonably warm weather.
Sunday night it snowed a lot (for us). Mac loves the snow. This winter he has had a fascination with snowmen and calls everything that looks like snow "snowman". So Drew before he went to work (yes it was a holiday!) took Mac outside to make his very first snowman.Well, the snow wasn't the packing type so they ended up drawing a snowman instead.
While the boys froze their buns off, G and I stayed warm inside!

Bye Crib, bye. Bye Binky, bye.
Mac is binkiless and in a big boy bed!! YAY.Saturday we decided to get bunk beds for the boys. I have been looking for months and finally found one cheap enough, sturdy enough and cute enough for Mac and G. As we were setting up half of the bunk (we only set up the top part of the bunk, for the railing) I thought this might be a good time to take away Mac's binky. We have tried before, cold turkey and cutting the tip off, neither worked for us.
So Mac and I collected all the binkies in a basket. I told him that other babies needed his binkies cause they were sad and that he wasn't a baby anymore. Then WE decided to throw them all out the window. So we did...
Later that night as we got him ready for bed he asked for his binky. I reminded him that he threw them out the window for the crying babies. Then he did this...
I will say, that doing all this over the weekend was a little emotional for me. I was telling Drew, the realization that Mac is not a baby anymore and he's growing up way too fast, makes me sad. All Drew said was, "Well, it's a good thing we have a baby too." He's so sensitive. No, this was great. We have been wanting to get Mac a bed and off the binky since Gray was born and it does feel good to get it over with. Next step...bedding.
