Called to Serve

Scotty got his mission call to the, Catania, Italy mission! We just got off the phone with my family back in Utah. I was kind of bummed that his call came so fast. If only it would have come next week then I could have been there.
My Mom called today and told us his call was there and to have everyone guess where they thought Scott was going. I guessed Brazil or New Jersey, Drew guessed Chile or Texas and I pulled a map out for Mac and he pointed to Russia. We are so excited for Scott and a little jealous. While I know his mission will be A LOT of hard work, he gets to eat the most delicious food and is going to live in this beautiful place for the next 2 years...

After I got off the phone with Scotty, I googled Catania. 'Cause lets be honest I had no idea where it was. In 1996 the Catania mission was formed from the Rome mission. Catania is on the island of Sicily and the mission extends up to the Rome mission. Catania is a sea port at the base of Mt. Etna which is an active volcano. One blogger said at every corner there's a market and few people speak English there. After looking at all the pictures and reading about it, it makes me want to watch the God Father:)
When we visited Rome in June 2007 we all fell in love with Italy. Scott you'll be an awesome missionary!

The only person that can make me laugh in any circumstance. The only person that can get me to do anything. The only person that brings out the absolute best in me. 4 years ago I married the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with!

Rough Week

Last Sunday Mac was playing with a friend upstairs when we heard him crying. Drew went up there to find Mac covered in throw up. We thought maybe it was a one time thing, but we were wrong. He threw up four more times that night and even more the next day. Drew was a champ, he slept in Mac's bed with him and only called me when there was mess to clean up:). Gray got what Mac had Monday night and we all weren't feeling well until Thursday. I don't think I have ever done so much laundry in my life! The flu=no fun!

Drew was mad I took this picture, I totally woke up Mac but it was so cute how he tucked Elmo in bed next to him.My mom made a valentine/get better package when she heard that we were sick. She made Mac a snowman blanket and filled the box with finger paints, stickers, coloring books and treats. We couldn't even wait to open it inside.

Mac loved finger painting.

He used all his fingers

and managed to paint his face.
Thanks mom. It was a great way to end a not so fun week.

Rub a dub dub...

These boys love the tub!

Gray had just woken up and was a little out of it.
