Blessing day

Sunday, March 27 Annie was given a name and a blessing

Annie was our first baby that was blessed in our Kentucky ward. I had mixed feelings about this. With the boys blessing we had both grandpa's, my grandpa and all the uncles. Blessing Annie out here I knew we would be lucky to get one of those men. Even though Annie wasn't surrounded by her family she had her dad, grandpa and friends. Friends that we've served with and friends that mean a lot to us. Annie cried through the whole blessing but I loved watching the men bounce her in the circle trying to calm her down. I'm grateful for a husband that lives his life in such a way that he's able to give our children these sweet blessings.

We are blessed to have such a supportive family!

I was bad at taking pictures last week. I only took 3 and they were all of Aunt Annie...

Drew's mom and sister Annie flew in Wednesday night and Drew's other sister Katie and her 2 kids drove in from St. Louis Thursday. We had a fun weekend of playing lots of games and just hanging out. It made me wish we could get the whole Millar clan together- maybe this summer:)
Emma, Ellie, Mac and Gray played so well together too. Gray is still talking about his little cousins.

My parents flew in Sunday morning and were only able to stay until Tuesday. Some of Drew's friends told us about a German restaurant in Cincinnati that was amazing so Monday morning we packed the kids up and ate the most delicious lunch of Bavarian Schnitzel and mushroom spaetzle. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Then we headed across the street to the aquarium, where Mac was fascinated and scared of the fish...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Is it weird that St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays? I don't know why but I look forward to it every year!
The boys woke up to Leprechaun footprints all over the house. Gray was surprised and didn't know what was happening.

To make it a little harder this year, the leprechaun's footprints led the boys to a "clue" which told them were the treasure was. The boys loved it. The rest of the day we ate all kinds of green food and took a long 2 hour walk outside.
" Mom my jacket will get pinched it's not green."
really Gray?

I took the boys on a 2 hour shopping trip, they did so well in all the stores. As a reward I let them pick out something at Gymboree. G picked sunglasses and has not taken them off since.

2 months old!

I can't believe my chunky monkey is 2 months old.
She's a whopping 12.1 lbs (85%) and 25 inches long (95%).
She's such a happy, content baby.
We couldn't love her more!

A Glimpse into our Family Home Evening

The boys look forward to Family night every week. It's nothing spectacular. Mac usually conducts. We open with a prayer, discuss our weekly schedule, the boys each pick a song to sing, we do a quick spiritual lesson, practice the monthly primary song then close it up with 2 more primary songs and a prayer. This week we did a random drawing for singing time and we were reminded of a favorite song, "Nephi's courage" The boys had so much fun singing it, we sang it 3 times. I love Gray's enthusiasm.

Notice Naked Annie... she had an explosion in the middle of FHE and was perfectly content being in just her diaper. I love my family and I love FHE.

Stop Growing!!!

Today I was sorting the boys old clothes. Every little outfit brought back sweet memories and I found myself tearing up. Why do they have to grow up so fast? It seemed like yesterday they were in those clothes and yet, some of them have not been worn in 4 years. I wiped away the tears and boxed everything up and started a bin for Annie's clothes. Can you believe she has out grown some of her clothes already? I feel like time is going by too fast. Every time I look Annie she has changed. Her cheeks are getting chubbier everyday and she just got her first roll on her thigh. I wish i could just pause life and enjoy this time!

Uncle D

Last night my youngest brother Dave got his mission call. We all Skyped in so we could be a part of his big night. It almost felt like we were all together again- it made me a little homesick. It was fun to hear Dave read that he will be serving in the Mexico City West mission.

the boys had fun talking to my Grandma's and Grandpa and my parents
we got to show off little annie.
It seems like Dave's too young to serve a mission.I was 8 when Dave was born and to me he will always be that little boy. I've loved seeing him grow and mature. He's such a likable person and such a great person. We will miss him for the 2 years but wouldn't want him anywhere else! My boys are blessed to have such a great example in their lives!
love you Dave!
