We're Back!

We survived the long 3 day trip home. Mac and Gray did surprisingly well. Here's my last post of our Utah vacation, and it's a long one. Last time we were home in March I was so mad at myself for not taking more pictures, so this time I over did it.

Gray got his first haircut. He needed a haircut from the day he was born. I just wanted everyone at home to see his hair before we got rid of it.
Goodbye mullet hello neck.
A walk up Provo Canyon that consisted of throwing rocks in the river...
He looks all cute and innocent but he most definitely is not. Mac figured out how to toot on demand. Gross I know but it was hilarious....

Four generation picture with my dad and Grandma McAllister...
Mac got read to A LOT and he loved every minute of it.

Gray and Mac got matching PJ's...

Mac swinging with Grandma Millar. Whenever she got up he would say, "Momma, Sit" and point to the swing. He's so demanding:)
We had a fabulous time in Utah. We are so lucky to have such great families that let us stay with them for a whole month!!! We Love and miss you all!

Millar family Olympics.

Last Saturday we had the first Millar family Olympics. It was an all day event. We started the day by having a huge breakfast and making our countries flags. Then the games began. We did floor exercises where things got a little sketchy but humorous. The best part was watching Mac watch the dances, especially Drew's. He was so confused. Then we did Human Frisbee, shot put, relays, synchronized swimming, Diving and holy board (like corn hole). After every event we had a Medal Ceremony. I was proud to take home a bronze for costume(thank you Savers) and floor exercise and a silver for holy board.
Thank you Katie, Annie and Mom. They did so much work to make this come together. I can't wait to do this again in 2012!

I give up!!!!

Yes it's 11:55 am Sunday morning and I'm not at church. Why you ask? well lets see. I woke Mac up this morning at 8:20am (6:20 Utah time) got him dressed before he was fully awake. Fed him breakfast in the car. Made it to church 10 minutes early. Walk through the door and Mac sees Drew and flips. So Drew took him up to the stand and then Mac started crying for me. Drew brought him back but that didn't fix it; he wanted both me and Drew. Cute, but totally annoying. He was spoiled this past month to have us and the whole family at his beckon call.

Anyway, I handed Gray off to a ward member and took Mac outside cause he was yelling now. Then Gray started crying. So I pulled Mac inside the mother's lounge where he continued to cry and yell for Drew while I fed Gray. He settled down so we made our way back to the chapel. He did great the last half hour but then he saw Drew and once again started crying.

To make a long story short both Drew and I sat with Mac in nursery second hour. When either one of us stood up he started crying. When anyone besides Drew or I held Gray he started crying. So when Drew got up to do interviews Mac lost it. From 11:00 until now he screamed. So I left church and went home. Yes, it's true I gave up.

Where have those peaceful Sundays gone; where I could fulfill my church duties and enjoy my Sunday meetings?

Cousin time...

Lucy is almost 6 months older than Gray and they're pretty much the same size. I think Lucy is a little taller but Gray is chubbier.
One bad thing about having such huge babies is that people expect so much more out of them. Look at them. Lucy rolling around while Gray just lays there and takes it. Most people would think they're the same age and that Gray was a little slow.
This is when it got crazy. Lucy was trying to get to Gray but Mac wasn't having it.
Then both Lucy and Mac teamed up on Gray... I'm sure this won't be the last of the Lucy/Mac tag team. Poor Gray.

Gray survived with only a couple of scratches around his eye. It could have been worse :)

Boz Scaggs?

I grew up on Boz Scaggs; you could say my Dad is obsessed with him. Growing up, we would make fun of my Dad for liking such lame music but we all secretly loved his music too.

Anyway, my Dad bought us all tickets to the concert at Deer Valley. Really, it was the funnest night. It was great hearing all his songs that brought back such great memories. Plus there were some major weirdos that were entertaining to watch. Nothing like middle aged drunk people trying to recreate the past:) I know Gray and Mac are too young to appreciate great music but we brought them along anyway. Gray slept the whole time and Mac ran up and down the hill dancing.

Gray's Big Day

On Sunday August 10, 2008. Gray Andrew Millar was blessed! Drew did a great job. It was amazing to have all our family together to help make this day perfect!Grandpa McAllister, Great Grandpa Heaps, Grandpa Millar, Gray and Drew, and uncles Jed, Beej and Ryan
During the blessing Mac made his way to the center of the circle and started pulling on Drew's pants crying," Mom, mom, Drew, drew...." He's the only 22 month old I know that calls his dad by his first name.
