All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth- in 5 years!

It all started last year when Mac found a plastic sword and decided to hit Gray with it. I don't think Mac meant to hit Gray as hard as he did and right in the mouth but he did. Shortly after, we noticed G's front 2 teeth slowly turning gray and a small sore started growing on his gums. After a couple of weeks of antibiotics nothing changed and we got the bad news that Gray needed both front teeth pulled so the infection wouldn't affect his permanent teeth.

We prepared Gray for the procedure by talking about it constantly and I took as many pictures as I could:) I think the whole experience was more traumatic for me.
G did great. He was so relaxed he kept crossing his legs. No, tears- he was a champ.

We are getting use to Gray's toothless smile and new lisp! G on the other hand loves showing off his new smile and could not be more proud of it! He walks around saying"I'm a vampire!" Teeth or no teeth, he is one cute boy!

The ole Jump-a-roo!

Sometimes she likes it and sometimes she finds herself spinning in circles and she really doesn't like that! But the thing I like most about the jump-a-roo is this face Annie makes. Isn't it the funniest/cutest face you've seen?

summer time picking

The thing I love most about summer is the food! I love picking vegetables out of my garden. I love visiting local farms and getting some of the best fruit around. and I love making delicious meals and desserts with all these fresh ingredients! Last week we went on our annual black berry picking trip but this time Drew came! The boys were excited to show Drew around....

We came home and made Blackberry Cornmeal Crumble bars. My favorite dessert I've made this summer!

Solids?

Annie had her first taste of solids and she LOVED it!

Annie at 6 months is currently not sleeping through the night. Teething and traveling are a bad combo for a baby. She has 2 teeth and is working on 2 more on the top. She rolls over and scoots on her back to get places. The other day she scooted her way under the table and the boys thought it was the funniest thing. She still loves her momma and has a hard time with most people but is warming up to her dad.
We love our Annie Girl!

6 month stats...
length:28 3/4 (95%)
weight: 17lbs 15 oz (85%)
head: 43 1/3 (95%)
The Dr. said she's basically the size of an 11 month old:)

I love this picture

I love this picture of Annie with my Grandpa! Annie does not like many people but she loved her Great Grandpa Heaps!

Let Freedom Ring!

We spent the 4th at the annual Culdesac of Fire. The kids parade is always entertaining...
Lucy looking for Gray, can you find him? It took him some time getting use to the fireworks!
What's the 4th without snow cones. Annie loved them...
Grandma McAllister
Grandma Mom

poor Lucy getting "Snaps" thrown at her

Isn't this picture perfect and no, I didn't pose them!

It was a great way to spend our last night in Utah!!!

The end

Sunday we got together with the Millar extended family for a big dinner then family pictures. Monday morning, the 4th of July we went to the annual Hidden Oaks neighborhood parade and breakfast!
Mac, Drew, Grandpa Millar, Grandpa Dad and Gray waiting in line for their breakfast.

Gray loves his uncle Peter
Drew reunited with friends Steve and Lee
Millarapalooza's grand finale was an obstacle course that involved riding a bike, climbing a play set, putting on and taking off a huge wet t-shirt, eating a cookie, planting a flag, kicking a soccer ball, catching a football, hitting a water balloon with a tennis racket, and slip-n-sliding all the while getting water balloons thrown at you! It got pretty intense!Ben doing a flag dance and showing us how the course works.
It was sad to see the weekend over. As I was packing up, I might have cried. It's always fun getting together with family! Can't wait for the 2012 Millar family Olympics!

Good times!

Swimming and pool games, lets just say I can't remember when I have laughed so hard or had this much fun. Really, I'm pretty easily entertained but this was a whole new level.

Drew came up with Alligator races. It's pretty self-explanatory but I just wish we videotaped it! It was one of the most awkward things I have done and it was hilarious watching it. I took 2
nd over all and I'm pretty proud of it!
Later, we got on the tube, made up more games and ended up ripping the tube, buying a new one, fixing the broken tube and totally destroying it again- I don't think the tube was made for 8 adults jumping and switching seats. The Quote of the Day...

Ben: "Okay, everybody switch seats with the person directly across from you"
Drew: "Wait, I think that will put too much weight in the middle and we'll break it again"
Ben: "I think we're going to have a good time!"

They were both right!
