What we've been up to

Not a lot has been going on here. We have been stuck inside because Mac had the flu and Drew got it too. (ha ha that rhymes). Luckily I didn't get it so I was able to tend to my sick boys.
But before they got sick we went on a family bike ride. Mac had a hard time at first but ended up falling asleep. It was nice to get outside and enjoy the weather.

Mac trying to get out of the trailer

Whenever I acknowledge Mac doing something he's not suppose to be doing i.e dumping Cheerios all over the floor; he starts giggling and doing it faster. It's hard not to laugh.

This picture represents what I did last week. I feel like all I did was clean up after Mac. I did so much laundry the poor kid had explosion after explosion (such a good word to describe what happened). Mac loves to read. Last week he sat down opened the book and started jabbering to himself. Whenever I asked him questions he would raise his hand and jabber more. He was so serious and So cute.

I turned 24 Friday! When people ask me how old I am I want to say 21. In my mind I feel like I stopped aging when I got married. If only my body agreed with me.

The day was great. Since the boys were still recovering from their sickness. I went to work in the morning and came home to a spotless house and a yummy lunch! Later we went out to dinner and watched a movie. Honestly all I wanted for my birthday was a clean house and not to have to cook. It was perfect! Thanks Drew!

Hey Ash:
Happy Birthday Friday! We ran into your parents at Los Hermanos and they said they were celebrating your birthday even though you weren't there! I hope you had a great day. No baby yet. my due date is tomorrow so we'll see what happends.

Ashlee,
First of all, I knew it was your birthday, and I meant to wish you a happy one! But Sunday was crazy, and I'm sure even crazier for you! So happy birthday late, even though I thought of it early! Second, I agree, we should get together! I miss you! And third, in response to dealing with sick children, I have so much empathy. Last year on Thanksgiving, we were visiting Bryan's brother's family. Bryan and Caleb both got sick (I was pregnant, so I'm glad I didn't get sick) in the night (luckily after the dinner--Bryan was so glad to enjoy the dinner and not gain the weight!). Caleb threw up three times during the night, and we had to clean his clothes and all the bedding three times! Aaaaargh! and yuck! I hope you are all better now!

Hey Ashlee and Drew,

How are you guys? Kim told me that you posted on our(her) blog and I was excited that the connection was made. Sorry it has been forever since we responded. We have wanted to, just one of those things. Anyways, glad to hear things are going well for you guys. That boy of yours has gotten big, oh, so has Mac. Tell Drew hi and that I still love him. I bet he's stoked about Kentucky football, although he should be in there at quarterback. Anyways, better run, hope you guys are well and drop me a line some time!

Take Care,
Blair

I can totally feel your pain with the stomach flu! It is the wost! Happy Birthday too last Friday. It was Brooke's birthday too and she turned 30! We went out to dinner with her and Trevor and had cake and ice cream at their house afterward. I hope you had a great day! Isn't it almost Mac's 1st birthday?

Happy Birthday to us! Glad to hear you had a great day. My kids got the flu about a month ago - no fun! Anyway, I love being able to see what you're up to.

Happy Belated Birthday Ashlee! You youngin' at only 24! It sounds like your day was great. What to go Drew. Girls love a good meal they didnt' cook and a clean house they didn't have to clean.

Sorry about the bug that found your family. It seems like that has been going around. I am glad you didn't get it because who else would take care of them and all the messes!

I didn't know you work. What do you do? You are a busy girl with Mac, taking care of Drew and the house and being in primary secretary. You are amazing.

Yesterday went so well. The kids sounded great and I loved it all. It's by far my favorite Sunday of the year (followed closely by every Sunday that isn't a fast Sunday! Just Kidding)

I am glad you guys are doing well. Mac is so cute reading his books.

And I wanted to tell you that Josh said something to Drew yesterday about forgetting to shave. It was really funny. Drew being such a great sport really played it up. Gotta love him.

Have a great night and Happy B-day again!

Cheryl,
you are so sweet! Drew told me the Josh story. So funny! I love the honesty of children.
I work for a Therapist once a week. I keep track of her patient information and file all her insurance claims. Last week I worked 5.5 hours. This week I might only work 3, it all depends on the work load. It's a nice flexible job that brings in a little cash. I use to take Mac with me but lately I have been leaving him home with Drew.

Ashlee,

Thanks for the update. That is so great that you have a little extra income from your job and that it isn't too much time away. That is so nice that Drew can be home with Mac. That's the perfect set up.

When we first moved to Louisville and Rich hadn't started medical school I taught in a private elementary school for 1/2 the school year and only in the morning. Then I got put on bed rest because I was nearing the end of my pregnancy with Josh and Matt. While I taught, Rich was home every morning with Trey. It was the perfect set up. Before that when we were still in Utah, I would fill in at my dad's office and Trey was a baby. I'd just take him with me to answer the phones. That's even better, as long as they are well behaved.

Thanks for the update!
