This was a big weekend. First, Drew and I left Mac with a friend and went on our first date since Mac was born! I know we are pathetic. When I dropped Mac off he went right to Debbie and didn't look back. I was little hurt. Right then I knew this would be harder for me than for him. The night was nice but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. While I did enjoy eating at PF Chang's, not worrying about feeding Mac or keeping him quiet, we both missed him and worried if he was being a headache for the Hydes. All in all the night was a success, we found out we can survive a night away from each other and we are looking forward to doing it again...in a few.
Second, Mac is officially weaned! No more nursing! Too much information?

I can't believe that is the first time you've left Mac! I think it's always harder for the mom. Way to go! We'll see you at Christmas.
Congrats! I totally know how you feel- its almost not even worth it because you are worrying about him the whole time anyway huh? Well hopefully it will get easier the more you leave him. I would love to babysit him if we lived by you- him and McKinley could just play! PF Changs is awesome!!

How was the end of nursing for you? Some people have a hard time. My sister was crushed cause it was just like one day when he didn't want to anymore and he never looked back. I do not think I will have a hard time Caden was not a very good nurser for like 4 months. I was in pain for tha long. Now he is good and it is not as much so anyway, Congrats!

Isn't it a wonderful freedom not to be nursing? Congrats! I remember having mixed emotions though. Hope you guys get the chance to go out many more times, it's so important in a marriage.

So glad you went out. Debbie is amazing and Mac couldn't have been in better hands. You guys sound like us. I think our last date was....... I'll have to think about it.
As for your question about saving your blog. A friend from Louisville gave me this information but I haven't done either. She's the one who made my header and back ground and I know she knows what she is talking about when it comes to blogging. Here are some ideas:
Go into the add and arrange page elements page.
then go to edit html
then you will see the blue "Download full template" option. It saves it right to the file you want on your Hard Drive.
to print go to:
http://www.blurb.com/create/book/blogbook
They can make a hard bound book of your blog.
I am going to do that for sure.
As for storing on the HD, I wonder if it's only the page shown or the entire blog. I'll have to ask Lacey. I also am unsure if you could burn it to CD. I'll let you know what I find.

I was ready to be done. The first couple of months were so hard and then nursing got easy and conveniant and then he got ten teeth. It's only been acouple of days but its gone well, we'll see what happens in upcoming weeks.
with every kid it gets alittle easier to leave them behind. :O) kidding. i still worry. and we leave them with family. i always had a hard time when nursing was over. i cried. so it is okay if you do to. but congrats on lasting this long. my milk always runs out around the 6 to 9 month mark. i am hoping for longer with coba. now that might be too much info! love ya.
It's good that you and Drew got some time to yourselves! I bet it was so hard to leave your baby...
We'll watch McCallister whenever you want. (Ash, we can babysit Drew anytime too). Just drop them off, you can even borrow our car (sheesh). We love you guys, and are glad you had a night out.
