About a month ago Mac hurt his arm. He would walk around holding his fore arm whining. When he would trip he wouldn't catch himself with his right arm, he just fell on his face.

Whenever we would decide to take him to the doctor he would start acting like it was better and then, without fail, a couple of hours later he would start holding his arm again. Finally after the fourth day we took him to the emergency room. After waiting there for 2 hours, they changed him into a cute hospital gown and took a painful x-ray of his arm. Since I was pregnant and Drew was at Young Men's, the nurse had to hold him. He just sat and screamed as they twisted his arm around to get different shots. It was hard to watch. After all was said and done the doctor diagnosed him with "nurse maid's elbow." It's when the elbow pinches a nerve and it's extremely painful to move it. The doctor reset his elbow and Mac immediately started using his right arm. It was sore for another couple of weeks but is now as good as new. My only regret besides not taking him in earlier was that I didn't take a camera with me. Luckily my phone took a decent picture.

Walk it off Mac. C'mon. I don't know about that nurses maid elbow... sounds made up to me. Kind of like my avian bone syndrome.

oh that is the worst. but there is nothing cuter then those little bodies in the little gowns, we had to do it a couple times with dax, and i always made the nurse do the dirty work so it wasnt me holding him down. glad its feeling better

Oh I hate it when my kids get hurt and I have no idea whats wrong. We had to go through that whole thing witht Brooklyne once, except hers turned out to be broken, and its so sad and you feel so helpless. But kids rebound fast, thank goodness! He looks so cute in his gown! I can't believe how fast he's grown, last we saw him he was a new born! Time flys!
