Moments

Do you ever have moments when you think your heart is going to leap out of your chest? Moments that make you think that life could not get any better? This is why I love my kids. While they are crazy, loud and demanding, there's moments in the day that remind me that being a mom is the greatest job. Moments when all I can do is smile and it's not because they do something grand or spectacular, it's the little things.
It's the boys lining up their toys and the food they found in the compost pile. Then one by one shooting them down with their Nerf guns. It's overhearing Mac trying to explain life to Gray-who is listening intently.
It's listening to Gray's raspy voice. Talking about anything and everything but always coming back to poop or Mac-a-doo.
It's Annie holding on to my hair with one hand and my arm with the other.
It's when Annie relaxes and sighs in relief when I pick her up to feed her.

Moments like these make me thankful to be a mom.

I love this post! Sweet Annie's fingers, Mac's serious face, the toys all lined up, so cute!

I agree it's the little things that get us through the tough bits!!

My boys do their Nerf gun target practice with Star Wars figures placed in the girls' Barbie Dream House. Nice, right?!

So great to talk today! I miss you! And no worries about my b-day, they put it in the ward program so I had more 'Happy Birthday's' from random people than EVER before!

Enjoy the weekend!
