Winter Storm Warning

I have never experienced an ice storm like this. It's crazy lexington weather . We are fortunate that we haven't lost power yet but chances are good. It's been freezing rain all night and temperatures just dropped and it started snowing. Since I have been on the computer we have gotten an inch of snow. Not good! Here are some pictures of our icy wonderland...

Yesterday after the first batch of rain...and the tree right now. The ice is heavy.

All night we heard trees breaking and ice falling off houses.

Last night Drew came home from work and tried to knock as much ice from the trees as he could. Mac came to me with his boots on the wrong feet and this coat, wanting to go outside.

Today our plans consist of playing with these boys and trying to stay warm.

More pictures to come...

I am loving all your pictures. They are beautiful. Especially the black and white ones of the boys. Perfect.

Glad you are staying warm. Wishing we could have gotten together today and tomorrow, but Mother Nature had other plans.

Looking forward to next week!

It reminds me of my winters in Kansas City. I kind of like the ice storms, minus all the bad that comes with it. IT is so pretty when is a glazed over.

I am with Roo, it looks like Kansas! Last year we had a really bad ice storm like that. It is beautiful to see but I am sure not very fun have to live with! Stay warm!

We had some ice storms in North Carolina and they are so weird. Our sidewalks and parking lot were like a skating rink. Not fun to drive in but it does look so pretty - until you lose power and then it's ugly!!
