Mom takes a back seat...

I'm lucky to have such great parents and my kids are lucky to have such great grandparents. When grandma and grandpa come to town, I no longer matter. I'm not making it up, Mac even told me he liked my mom more. It's ok, I'm used to it. I can't compete with Grandma Mom, she's pretty impressive.

We had a great five days with them. As always it went way too fast.



Our week was spent going to Mac's soccer game, a bourbon distillery, Mac's birthday party and of course my parents cleaned my house and kept everything tidy, looking perfect when they left.

Mom and Dad thanks for coming and even though you live fifteen hundred miles away you manage to make us such a big part of your lives!

Random Post

This month has flown by. Tomorrow I start my last trimester! I feel like I have pregnant forever. I'm guessing it's becuase Drew spilled the beans when I was 7 weeks along or it might be that I feel like my body is falling apart. Everything hurts more and I'm still waiting for my energy to come back. Dont' get me wrong I think pregnancy is amazing but this one is testing my patients.

Last December in our tithing settlement the bishop asked us to make a personal goal, a goal for our family and a goal for just Drew and I. Our couple goal was for both of us to make it to the temple once a month. Sounds easy enough. Well, it's been harder than we thought but it's been such a blessing in our marriage. Our ward usually provides babysitting but with our schedules we havn't been able to take advantage of it as often as we hoped. So for the most part we have been going up and taking turns. I do an endowment session, while Drew watches the kids and then I watch the kids while Drew does intitories. With the hour and half commute one way, it makes for a long day but the kids enjoy spending time with us. Last time while Drew was in an endowement session I took the boys to Henry's Ark.

It's a free petting zoo that has random animals like Zeebras, elk, water buffilo, millions of birds and a ton of goats.

Mac falls asleep in our bed every night. why is it that little kids are so irrisitable when they are sleeping.This kid cracks me up! All week he's been wearing these goggles.

W.E.G

Yesterday we were able to go the World Equestrian Games and see the horse jumping event. We loved everything about it except the weather, it was freezing! Luckily we bundled up, brought treats and ended up lasting a whole hour. The boys loved cheering and when the horses ran into something, well, that just made things more entertaining (don't worry the horses don't get hurt)

We decided that this isn't the best sport for G to watch. He had a hard time keeping his cheering to himself when the horses were jumping.

After, we strolled around the event center. Learning more facts about Kentucky- horses, coal mining and Bourbon.
When we got home Mac insisted we build our own steeple chase for his horses. He was very particular on the set up, trying to make it look just like the course we left hours before. He named his horse "Millar" after the Canadian rider.

Reds Game

Last weekend we went up to Cincinnati to shop (very successful), visit the Jacksons (miss that family) and meet friends at the Reds game. All of which was much needed and couldn't have gone better.Crossing over to Ohio with the Hyde family.

The game was so fun I have no idea who won and the only detail about the game I caught was that a Cuban pitcher, pitched the ball 105 mph. Like I said before, the night couldn't have gone better.

CAMPING

This weekend we finally got to take our little family camping. I only have fond memories of camping, whether it was with my family visiting all the state parks or with Drew in a random church parking lot in Long Beach, California (that's camping, right?). I love camping. Drew on the other hand doesn't do too well with the camping thing. It usually takes him days to recover from the bad nights sleep, dang arthritis. But him being an amazing husband surprised me with some camping gear when I was having one of those emotional not so good days. The planning took off from there and we ended up here...

We got back to the camp site, ate dinner and welcomed the rain.

The rain was minimal and ended up keeping the heat and bugs away.

Boys played and played and finally fell asleep sometime around midnight.

Our boys slept in until 8:30am. Which was amazing and were still happy campers in the morning.

Before we left we went down to the lake one more time. Gray stripped down and had a little too much fun.

The camping trip was a success. We had a blast! It was worth all the packing, unpacking and laundry! Thanks Noehren family for a great weekend and for most of the pictures!

27!

Yesterday I turned the big 27. I love when my wish comes true for a birthday week. I started getting packages the end of last week and they haven't stopped. The longer the celebration the better:)

Yesterday, Mac left for preschool and G and I ran errands. Met Nancy for lunch and came home to treats on my doorstep and visitors throughout the day. I truly am surrounded by amazing, loving, supportive friends. Drew took me out to dinner, did a little shopping and came home to presents and a cute little cake from another friend Angela- see, great friends!

Drew got me some thoughtful gifts that the boys enjoyed opening.

Throughout the day I got messages and calls from friends and family. You all sure know how to make a girl feel special! Thanks!!!
